Deployment Keepsake

Hearing about how you can get blogs printed in book format inspired me to start up a private blog and copy and paste all correspondence between B and myself for this deployment.  Any letters get scanned, and pictures I email or receive get added, etc.  I write him a long email at least once a day, but normally twice.  Sometimes we catch each other at the right time, and we can email back and forth pretty fast, so it's like a real conversation :).
All of it goes on to my other blog.

You get the idea...

There's a post for every day he's been gone.  Some days are only my emails to him.  Some days I get real emails back, but mostly they are short little notes sent when he has a moment.  I love them all.

Updating our blog is the last thing I do every night, and I'm going to keep it a secret from B till it's been printed.  It will be a great keepsake for us, and one day our kids or grandkids might want to read it, too.

So if this blog is seeming boring, not very detailed, or baby centered, that is why.  I type my day out every evening, and then reread it as I'm compiling the days emails together.  By time I sit down to this blog, I feel like I've already written everything down a thousand times!  But I promise I'll work harder at keeping this blog updated more than once a week!

  1. I've heard of these blog books...how do you get them printed? I really want to do one for our blog but I wasn't sure if you had to go through each post and print it off yourself!

I'd be so grateful if you could let me know :)
