Quilt updates

Remember this red, white, and blue quilt from January?  I finally finished it!

I had been putting off the binding forever because I thought it would be difficult.  After reading a trillion tutorials, I finally sat down and got to work.  It was easier than I thought!!  However, I will hand bind it next time, NOT machine bind.  I still need lots of practice with the mitered corners, but they turned out well enough.

Anyways, the quilt was a going away gift for a dear friend who is moving back home while her hubby is deployed.  And while it's far from perfect, it was made with lots of love!
