First day home

He's home!  The bed is unmade, the kitchen table is covered with junk, he has a bag of candy in the pantry, the garage has his gear strewn about, and if I went upstairs I would bet there is a wet towel on the bathroom floor.  And I am SO happy about it all.

Yesterday his commercial flight was delayed three times from LAX to San Diego (aka I could have just driven to LA).  But 2 hours later, his plane finally landed.  I was so giddy I felt sick.  And he looked amazing.  Exhausted, but amazing.  I had a photographer come with me, and I can't wait to share her photos!

Lizzie was super active most of the way home, and B kept his hand on my stomach most of the way.  It was so special to finally have him be able to feel her kick and tumble around.

When we got home I went inside with the video camera to turn the alarm off so I could record Mackie seeing his daddy for the first time in 6 months.  It was pretty cute and unexpected.  Mackie saw B and literally pissed himself with excitement and then army-crawled to him.  Once B started to pet him, Mack went nuts and was so happy!  They went outside and played for a few minutes and you could tell how happy they both were to be reunited.

He brought home some sweet gifts for me, and a stuffed camel for Lizzie.  He had to go in to work today so we can go on leave tomorrow, but we got all of his bags unpacked (thus the messy garage), and I have his clothes going in the wash.

I am just to happy to have him back home again!!  Nothing is weird or annoying or stressed.  He's wandered through the house a few times, getting used to seeing our stuff again.  We unpacked together and he talked though some of the things he brought home, stuff he saw, stuff he did.  It was really cute to see how carefully he packed all the pictures and cards he had received.
